Disciplinary Regulations
- a) The working day is divided into two sessions, The Morning Sessions commence with the assembly at 9:30AM and end at 1PM. The Afternoon is from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
b) Pupils are strongly discouraged from coming to school too early. Those who come before 8:45am must proceed at once to the classroom’s strict silence and engage themselves in learning activities.
c) at the well before the meaning session all pupils must fall into a single line. All movement from the prayer venue to the classrooms, as well as one classroom to another is to be in silence.
d) Upon the teached entering the classrooms the pupils must rise and remain standing in silence until the teacher takes his or her seat or until the teacher instructs them. - Every pupil must wish the members of the staff on the occasion of his/her every meeting within the school premises or outside.
- No Pupils are allowed to leave the classroom without permission of the teacher or until the class is dismissed. No pupil is allowed to leave the school premises during class hours including short break and lunch break without the written permission of the principal or his deputy.
- During the absence of the class teacher, the class leader will maintain its discipline. Pupils must obey the class leader appointed to maintain order.
- Punctual and regular attendance is insisted upon. Leave of absence from the school for weddings, etc. must be applied for previously. The general terms of excuse such as for business for some ceremony etc. are not sufficient.
a) When a Pupil has been absent from school or arrives late for any session, he/she must produce this calendar with the leave or late note entered and signed by his/her parents or guardian. This must be countersigned by the principal or his deputy without which he/she not be allowed into the classroom. Otherwise the pupil will be regarded as being absent. In case of absence for a single day only the Class teacher may countersign the leave note.
b) Special Notice Shall be taken of absence without intimation and permission in classes, activities, examinations and upon the reopening day after holidays. Such pupil will have to get special permission from the principal for attending classes again.
c) Pupils are expected to put in 90% of attendance as required by the school code.
d) If a pupil who is present in the forenoon session requires leave in the afternoon, a letter should be brought from parents and that must be countersigned by the principal or his deputy. - Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers, habitual lethargy in school work, obscenity in wood or act are sufficient genuine reasons for permanent or temporary dismissal of a pupil. Other offences such as habitually coming late to class, damaging school property, etc. are punishable according to the nature of the offense.
- Ordinarily the school does not hold itself responsible for the pupils conduct outside its premises. All the same it takes cognizance of any serious misconduct of its pupils committed outside its premises and if any serious charge is substantiated the guilty shall be punished according to the gravity of the offence.
- The School diary must be brought to the school everyday. A specimen signation of the parent (or guardian) has to be shown by every pupil on the indicated in the diary.
- Pupils attending class or any other function in the school are expected to be neatly dressed in the school uniform. Failure to wear the prescribed uniform shall entail the pupil being sent home and marked absent for the day.
- Books and other articles should have a name or mark by which they are easily identified. All stray or unclaimed property should be brought to the Principal’s office. The School does not hold itself responsible for the loss or damage of property such as books, pen, watch, jewels, etc. any loss or damage of property should be immediately reported to the Principal.
- Books, periodicals or papers of any objectionable character should not be bought to school.
- Pupils are expected to live either with their parents or guardians.
- Pupils who have been suffering from any infectious disease must produce a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner so that he / she may attend school without risk of spreading the infection.
- Without the Principal’s permission pupils must not join any clubs or associations or make any arrangements that would interfere with their studies.
